Branch uses deterministic matching when a known identifier, like a permitted advertising ID, directly links a marketing interaction to a conversion. When that’s not available, Branch’s models estimate the match where platform policies, configuration, and consent allow it. Every match gets a confidence score, and the bar to act on it depends on the use case.
