Ad Fraud in 2026: How Marketing Executives Are Responding

New research from 455 marketing and growth leaders across North America, EMEA, and APAC

Ad fraud has always been expensive. Now it’s getting harder to catch.

Branch surveyed 455 marketing and growth executives at large enterprises worldwide to find out where they actually stand on ad fraud in 2026: how much they think it’s costing them, which channels worry them most, what they’ve done about it, and how AI is changing the picture.

Nearly everyone has taken action. Yet the average respondent still estimates losing 27% of their paid digital budget to fraud every year, roughly $3 million annually for the typical enterprise in this survey. And with 83% saying AI is making fraud harder to detect, the gap between action and impact isn’t closing on its own.

The report covers:

  • How concern and response rates break down by region (NA, EMEA, APAC)
  • Which channels marketers consider most vulnerable
  • The AI-driven fraud threats drawing the most concern
  • How marketers are rethinking measurement and media buying in response
